Ross Chastain posts team’s best finish with 10th place at Atlanta Motor Speedway

Mooresville, NC- March 4, 2017- After a disappointing start to the 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck series season with an early crash at Daytona, the Bolen Motorsports team was anxious for another chance. The team had just one week to put the misfortune of Daytona behind them in preparation for the grueling asphalt of Atlanta Motor Speedway. While the team entered the weekend unsponsored, this did not deter their commitment and desire to take advantage of the hard work put forth in the off season. With a solid 24th qualifying position the team focused mainly on race runs and prepared the truck for the long run.

Ross began his march towards the front as the green flag dropped. With a solid truck that was able to corner very well, Ross made his way to the 15th position at the end of Stage 1. With solid feedback and adjustments the team would face adversity when a speeding penalty on pit road put them towards the rear of the filed. Not to be denied, Ross worked his way back through traffic in the second stage to finish 9th garnering the teams first stage points and a solid run entering the final run to the checkered flag. Once again this would be short lived as the pit crew was unsure of a lug nut on the left rear and the team was forced to pit once again under caution to make sure everything was tight.

With under 20 laps to go, Ross would restart outside the top 15 with a truck ready to charge to the front. After a great restart, Ross and the team would work their way to a 10th place finish as the checkered flag fell scoring the teams best finish!
